Week of January 5-9

This week was the 1st week of coming back from break :( We did all sorts of things. We took notes, on heating. On monday we just reviewed what we had gone over before we left for break. What we left off on was learned about the two layers of earth. They were lithosphere which is the crust of earth. The second layer is athensphere, that is hot liquid that allows lithosphere to move. On monday we started to learn about radiation, and convection. Mr. Finley introduced something else. Conduction. Our homwork that night was what is the purpose of gloves? On tuesday we took a lot of notes on that. And we did an example about convection. Our homwork question that night was how can we determine new rock layers from old? Why is your idea reasonable? On wednesday we reviewed that. On thurday Mr. Finley was absent because he was on the science club field trrp. We did a packet wirth the sub. It was a little confusing but we ended up understanding it. Friday we took a quiz on heating, and the layers of earth.
