Week 2-6

This week we did all different kinds of things. On monday we picked up from what we did last friday. On monday we learned what intrusive and extrusive was. Intrusive was inside the cooling (slowly). Extrusive was the outside, surface of the earth (fast). Also we had a homework assignment about James Hutton. We larned that he was a natural philosphere. he introduced uniformitatiamism. Uniformitatiamism is the concept that the geological processes at work, on earth today are the same processess that have always been at work on Earth for billion of years. I also learned that he wrote a book, it was called "Theory of the Earth." This book was about arguing that geological processes could be observing during the present time-eronsion, flooding, earthquakes, volcanoes, sedamention which was the appearence of Earth's surface. On tuesday, we continued what we left off at on friday. We classified different food groups. We had some questions about the groups, and a question that was what is an element? Atom? How are these parrts related to elements and atoms? On wednesday, we learned about elements, and atoms. An element is a gas, liquid, and a solid. A atom make up elements. In the picture, this was the chart we made about atoms, and elements. On thursday, Mr. Finley gave us rocks, and he had us put them in order to which is the roughest. We also had a homework assignment about minerals, we didnt really go over it on friday, so we will go over it on monday. Finally on friday we went over the list, and added some questions about the rocks, which we will answer in our groups on monday (2.9).
